SPEAKER: Dr Nicolas Bell. Trinity College has played home to several gardens over the centuries, ranging from private gardens cultivated by Fellows including Isaac Newton and john Ray to the larger spaces of the Fellows’ Garden, partly designed by Ludwig Wittenstein. In his talk Nicolas Bell, Librarian and Fellow of Trinity College, will give an overview of some of the history of Trinity’s gardens as well as discussing some of the books with particular botanical significance on the shelves of the Wren Library.
